Death of Dhammachari Vimuktasena

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Dhammachari Vimuktasena who departed this life peacefully on 12th June 2024 at the age of 87 at his home in Dapodi, Pune. 

Dhammachari Vimuktasena was ordained on 25th May 2003. His Private Preceptor was Dh. Sudarshana and his Public Preceptor was Dh. Chandrashila; his yidam was Buddha Shakyamuni.

He was a quiet and courteous individual, always eager to help others. He had a deep appreciation for Indian classical music and made meaningful contributions...

It’s a delight to let you know that four Mexican women will be ordained on a retreat just started here in Cintamani, our retreat centre in Mexico. As well as the four of them, there are 19 dharmacharinis here on the retreat.
