Sally Birch (of Sheffield, previously of Deal) was ordained privately on Thursday 17th July at Tiratanaloka, and publicly on Saturday 19th July at the Sheffield Buddhist Centre, UK.

She becomes Dayaraksita (long second and last ‘a’s, and a dot under the ’s’), a sanskrit name meaning ‘She who is Protected by Kindness’.
