Applications are being invited for the Triratna Growth Fund for 2015. The purpose of the Growth Fund is to encourage the growth of the Triratna Community where growth is defined as an increase in the numbers of people coming to us to learn basic meditation and Dharma.
In 2015 we have a total of around £7000 available and we envisage this being given in relatively small amounts, of up to £1000 each, to Triratna projects around the world, excluding India which has a separate fund for new Dhamma projects from Karuna Trust.
In particular we are looking to fund existing centres ‘giving birth’ to new groups in their area, small centres and groups developing existing activities, ‘outlying’ people starting activities where they live, pioneers going to brand new places, or growth via the internet.
In 2014 the Growth fund made grants for the set up costs for a new centre in Tacoma, USA, for the purchase of cushions for a new group in Tuebingen, Germany, for the purchase of a rupa and cushion for a new group in Malmo, Sweden, for the travel costs for Order Member visiting the Krakow group, Poland, and towards the cost of a new tent for the Buddhafield South project in the U.K.
