In this short personal talk given on the Men's Sub35 weekend entitled 'Steering to the Deep', Viryanaga parallels the Buddha comparing the Dharma to the mighty ocean in the Udana. In this talk Viryanaga recounts some of his experience and reflections of sailing on the strange and wonderful ocean, and compares this to his initial encounters and deepening within the Dharma.

A life lived knowing change and directing change by taking responsibility for ourselves as agents of karma, a life lived helping others to also do this and come together to transform the world around us so that it upholds and encourages the highest values.

A Body of Practice - Satyapara

Drawing upon the myths in the life of the Buddha Satyapara explores the role the body plays when we take up Buddhist practice. She describes the Buddha as a child under a rose apple tree being deeply in touch with his surrounding and when calling upon the earth he gains confidence in his practice and overcomes his doubts. With this stories Satyapara invites us to trust our body. Given in Cambridge in the Young Peoples Evening.
