“This year the Vancouver Buddhist Centre has moved into a new big space to accommodate the needs of its thriving Sangha. There is currently around thirty Mitras and five Order Members in Vancouver. And later this year there’s also a plan to start a Young Buddhist group at the Centre!”

Who? In 2008 the Development Team, responding to the lack of young adults entering our community, ran a weekend exploring how to inspire more young adults in the Dharma. Out of that weekend the Triratna Young Buddhists’ Project emerged, with the setting up of activities specifically for young adults facilitated by young Mitras and Order Members.

This years “Big One” will be held at Adhisthana 8-10 November. It is a unique opportunity to come together in large numbers with other young Buddhists at our new spirtual home for Triratna, Adhisthana. We will be exploring the theme of Metta and how that can Blaze like the sun! There will be programme of meditation, talks, discussion groups and puja. I look forward to see you there. Singhamati
