The Buddha said that you can’t develop wise perspective and freedom through ideas alone – you need to test the truth in your own experience. Drawing on 14 years of experience leading classes, courses and retreats, Sagaraghosa has created an engaging and practical guide to transforming your life through Buddhist practice. Without jargon, and delightfully illustrated throughout, her book provides a starting point for adults, young and old, who have an interest in Buddhism and are looking for a way to improve their lives and relationships.

About the author

Sagaraghosa Rosemary Tennison is an English Buddhist teacher. Since her ordination in 2005, she has led courses in meditation and Buddhism for newcomers, and led study on a wide variety of Buddhist topics, both at the Cambridge Buddhist Centre. She delights in making the teachings of the Buddha accessible to as many people as possible and thereby changing their lives for the better. To do this, she uses imaginative approaches and encourages people to try things out and reflect on their experience. This is the book she wished she had when she first encountered Buddhism

Why Sponsor a Book?

The world of publishing has changed a lot in recent decades, and we’re doing our best to make the most of new opportunities while adapting to new challenges. Online sales, for example, increase the accessibility of our books, but bring lower profits. We are also facing rising costs in printing, freight and paper. For some time now, start-up funding has played an important role in getting our books off the ground. Under such conditions, however, that importance is growing.

How sponsorship works

Give £40 or more to sponsor a book and we will send you both the print edition and the eBook immediately on publication.
