This is a week-long retreat led by Paramananda and Bodhilila. It will run from Sunday 7 to Saturday 13 February.

This on-line retreat will investigate the role of the body in meditation, from the development of mindfulness and compassion through to its place in the cultivation of wisdom. We will bring a body based, intuitive and creative approach to meditation and experience how being grounded in the body can open our hearts and minds. We will also be exploring key Buddhist teachings through our embodied experience.

The retreat will include talks, meditation, reflection, mantra chanting, ritual and discussion. This retreat is the first of a series of three week-long meditation retreats led by Paramananda and Bodhilila which will focus in turn on the body, the breath and the heart as pathways to insight.

Programme (all times UK):

The retreat will start on Sunday 7 February with an evening session from 7-8.30pm

Monday to Saturday:

8-9am Meditation

10.30-12.30 Short talk followed by meditation, mantra chanting or ritual

4-5.30pm Groups, meditation, Q&A

The retreat will finish at 5.30pm on Saturday 13 February

This very body that we have,
That’s sitting here right now…
With its aches and pleasures
Is exactly what we need to be fully human, fully awake, fully alive.

Ring the bells (ring the bells) that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack in everything (there is a crack in everything)
That’s how the light gets in
