We are part of the Triratna Buddhist Community, an international Buddhist movement dedicated to making Buddhism relevant in the modern world. We meet regularly for meditation, talks and discussion on ethics, Buddhism, friendship, and Buddhist ritual.
We are a new group in the Thames Valley based in Reading offering meditation and study of the Buddhist teachings.
We will be running courses on various methods of meditation and looking at the teachings of Buddhism and their relevance to the way we live our lives.
From Tuesday 1st August we shall be looking at the Bodhisattvas. What is a Bodhisattva? How can we approach them? Who are they? We shall meditate upon the qualities of a number of key Bodhisattvas and what these qualities mean to us in our everyday life.
We hold classes at the Quakers Friends meeting house, 2 Church Street, Reading, RG1 2SB. There is no parking at the venue but there is nearby street parking and car parks. The venue is close to the rail and bus stations in Reading and is a short walk from the main centre of Reading.
Tuesday evening 7.30pm to 9.30pm
