Triratna’s Adhisthana Kula published yesterday a public report on its work 2017-2019 to address ethical (and other) concerns in Triratna’s past.

The Adhisthana Kula, so named simply because it met at Triratna’s main UK centre, Adhisthana, was a group of seven women and men, senior Order members who volunteered to meet over many months and years to identify and address the matters of concern. As they say in their report:

“It is not our job to protect Triratna from difficult truths, and we recognise and deeply regret the pain of those who suffered in any way as a result of their involvement in Triratna. We thank those who have come forward to share their experiences for their courage in doing so.”

Munisha (Safeguarding officer) and Amaladipa (Safeguarding adviser) are the Safeguarding team working for Triratna’s European Chairs’ Assembly (ECA) to provide Safeguarding advice to Triratna charities.

Working alongside the Adhisthana Kula (but independent from it) the Safeguarding team particularly contributed to the work to establish facts related to Sangharakshita’s sexual behaviour, and they provide a first point of contact for those wishing to report harm or ethical concerns in Triratna. You can read about this work at these two posts, which are also linked to from the Adhisthana Kula’s report:
