Adhisthana’s first weekend retreat for parents took place on 8th to 10th June, led by a team of Triratna Order Members who are parents themselves – Upayavira, Maitrinita, Lilapa, and Karunagita. It was open to parents and parents-to-be, including Order Members, Mitras and those with a regular practice in the context of Triratna.

Here are two of the talks from the weekend:-

Six Gifts of Parenting:
Karunagita brings to life gifts for Buddhist practice including repeatedly not getting what we want, being more playful, letting go of those we love and access to insights.

Parenting and the Brahma Viharas:
Lilapa talks openly about how the Brahma Viharas inspired and challenged him as a father

Hello. Thanks for this. However, I can only see the talk by Karunagita. The one by Lilapa appears not to be here.

Hi Tejopala, Lilapa’s talk is the second item on the above play list (“Parenting and the Brahma Viharas”). I wasn’t able to find a photo for him unfortunately. I hope that solves the mystery! With Metta, Sadayasihi
