Summary of 2022. Suryavana Retreat Center.

Greetings and Happy New Year!
In 2022 we held around 33 events in Suryavana.  Some 350+ people have received our hospitality and have taken advantage of the very special conditions that we offer in Suryavana, to cultivate calm and clarity and (hopefully) some wisdom.

We received members of the Triratna Buddhist Order in Order weekends (3 times), we worked with the Valencia Buddhist Centre (11 times) and friends of our Sangha (8 times).  We received and offered our services to groups of yoga, Tantra, Gestalt, personal development, etc. (11 times)

Income was 56 thousand euros and expenses about 54 thousand.  In January 2022, as a result of the continued crisis caused by the Pandemic, we had to request a loan of about 5 thousand euros to help us cover some heavy expenses.  (Propane gas).  At the same time we have installed new batteries (essential for the operation of the Center).  We can say there is no gain, no loss.  We have paid 12 months plus the mortgage (one thousand per month) that we can see as an investment for the future of our community and all who can visit and enjoy our Sacred place.  We have survived very difficult times.

2023 is looking good (so far)!

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to the project.  Who have participated in retreats, who have cooked, who have helped in many ways, who have brought their people, who have enjoyed this gem of a place we call the “Enlightened Forest”, Suryavana, Masia Novales.  Jérica, Castellón Province, Spain
