Engaged Buddhism in Triratna
A Celebration of the 47th Anniversary of the Triratna Buddhist Community
Saturday April 5, 2014 at Aryaloka Buddhist Center in Newmarket, NH
Join us for a celebration of the Triratna Community. This year’s festival will focus on expressions of compassion in the Triratna Community and will feature a talk by Nagabodhi, Aryaloka’s president. Nagabodhi will be speaking about the life and work of Dhardo Rimpoche, who founded a school for Tibetan refugee children and was a close teacher and friend to Sangharakshita and many other members of the Triratna Order. There will also be opportunity to learn about – and perhaps become involved with – various local and international Triratna outreach projects. No festival at Aryaloka would be complete without a pot luck meal, so bring something to share for lunch! Activities for children will be held from 10 AM – 12 PM.
10 AM – Meditation
11 AM- Talk by Nagabodhi
12 PM- Pot luck lunch
1:30 PM – Engaged Buddhism café
2:30 PM- Closing ritual
