This Sunday, March 26, 10AM - 12:30PM, we will continue our exploration of the stages of the spiritual path. Led by Dh. Rijupatha, we will practice the Metta Bhavana, or Loving Kindness meditation. Then we will turn our attention to the second stage or aspect of spiritual development, positive emotion. Once we have set ourselves on the path, this is the quality of being and acting that enables us to follow that path wherever it leads. With positive emotion, we can relate to ourselves and our experiences with calm and goodwill. It gives us energy and mental clarity and makes us more aware of and open to others, more curious and creative. How can we nurture this desirable inner state if we have it and cultivate it if we don’t? Together we will explore some of the Buddha’s answers to these questions.
