Come join us for an afternoon in the sun followed by a spectacular sunset. Every year our sangha comes together for a picnic, and this year (as last) we will be gathering for a POTLUCK at Great Island Commons in Newcastle on Sunday, July 14th. We will be joined by sangha members from Aryaloka, Portland, Boston, and New York.

Great Island Commons has several picnic areas, a large field for games, walks along the sea shore, a beach, a large playground, and spectacular views. Festivities will begin at 3 PM and continue through the afternoon. Bring your friends and family….. bring a frisbee … bring a kite …. bring a bathing suit and towel ….. bring plates and utensils… bring a vegetarian dish to share for the POT LUCK DINNER. But most importantly, bring yourself!

Great Island Commons is at 301 Wentworth Road (Rt 1B) in Newcastle, NH. For more information and directions, visit the park’s website.

There is a small fee to enter the park: $3 for persons aged 6 – 65; $1 for people over 65 or disabled; free for children 5 and under. Unfortunately, pets are not allowed during the summer months, which includes July. Service animals are always welcome.

We’d love to see you there! Questions? Contact us by portsmouth [at] thebuddhistcenter.com (subject: Sangha%20Picnic) (email) or phone: 603-617-2285.
