This May we will be listening to, reflecting upon, and discussing some of the verses from one of the most important texts from the Pali Canon, The Dhammapada. One translator exclaims that it is amongst the greatest spiritual works of mankind. Sangharakshita states: “The teachings contained in the Dhammapada are literal truth, and deserve to be engraved on our hearts in letters of gold - or fire.” Our approach will be reflective in nature and the hope is for us to fully engage with these basic Buddhist teachings, immerse ourselves in these simple truths and live them throughout the week.
