Meditation is really very simple, and it can prove a greatly helpful tool in anyone’s life if they choose to make it a part of what they do. Our next Introductory workshop is on Sunday, September 7, 12-3 pm with Khemavassika. On this workshop participants will learn the ‘Development of Loving Kindness’ (Metta Bhavana) meditation. This is a traditional Buddhist meditation aimed at opening up to greater kindness, love, empathy and compassion. You do not need to be a Buddhist to practice them!
This workshop is offered by donation, $40-20 suggested.
Learning the Art of Meditation leads to:
~ a calmer, more focused mind ~ deeper levels of relaxation ~ greater discipline in concentrating the mind ~ decreasing muscular tension ~ building self-confidence ~ enhancing the immune system ~ greater sense of spaciousness in one’s life ~ transforming negative emotions into positive ones ~ helping to keep things in better perspective
