Training for Buddhists working with schools in the UK

Srivati runs the London Buddhist Centre’s education service, Bodhi Tree. She’s offering two training events: one for Buddhists conducting school visits; one for school teachers who want to teach mindfulness in their schools.

1) Buddhist school visit workshop
10am – 4.30pm

Triratna International Retreat 23rd-27th May 2014

The retreat will be run by the European Chairs’ Assembly, in conjunction with Buddhafield and Adhisthana. It opens on the evening of Friday 23rd May, finishing after lunch on Tuesday 27th May 2014. The theme is The Bodhisattva’s Reply - the Dharma expressed in social change.

Adhisthana launches intensive women's and men’s Dharma Training Courses

The first, a five-month course for women, begins in February. It will be followed by a similar course for men, running from September 2014 to January 2015. He says -

The week-long Living Compassion retreat over the New Year will be led by Shantigarbha, member of the Triratna Buddhist Order and a trainer in Nonviolent Communication (NVC).

Two days till the International Urban Retreat begins

This week, Triratna Buddhist Centres across the world will be encouraging their sanghas to strengthen their practice of metta (loving kindness), practising intensively in the midst of daily life. The event is also running online, with daily teachings and led meditations from Subhadramati and Vajragupta. From Monday onwards, there’ll be daily short talks from Vessantara and news videos...
