Public Ordination in Australia

Dear Friends,

We are delighted to announce that Angela Riley from Melbourne, Australia was publicly ordained at the Melbourne Buddhist Centre on Sunday 12th March, 2023. 

She becomes Pasannā. 

The a has the short vowel sound as in ‘cut’. The ā as in ‘father’. Emphasis on the second syllable.

Name meaning: She who is happy, bright, clear, virtuous and devoted.

A Tokyo Mitra Ceremony

Triratna Valderrobres Appeal

After many years of local people being curious; “who are these women dressed in blue going up the mountain to Akashavana Retreat Centre?”, Mumukshu and Karunavapi are now delighted to offer them the opportunity to find out.
