Vidyatara writes from Adhisthana: “We have just waved goodbye to the eight wonderful women from the 2015 Young Women’s Dharma Life Course - and have started planning the third one, which will be held at Adhisthana between February and July 2016!

Watch a 4-minute video of the latest graduates explaining how Sangharakshita’s life has changed theirs.

So, we are now looking for the next group of eight enthusiastic, courageous and committed women from across the world to come and join our community.

The 5-month residential course is focused on studying Sangharakshita’s presentation of the Dharma and teaching a range of skills to help women communicate with confidence what they have learned. It is also an opportunity to practise with experienced members of the Triratna Buddhist Order, live in community and work in Right Livelihood.

The course is primarily aimed at younger women who are either mitras or mitras training for ordination. However, while we are looking for younger women with a high standard of spoken and written English, commitment to practice, inspiration and enthusiasm are key factors in deciding who will attend. You will be expected to have a daily meditation practice and be willing to work and participate fully in the life of Adhisthana.

Please email us your application letter by 20th September 2015, outlining your personal and Dharma/Buddhist history, including study you have undertaken, why a course such as this would be of benefit to you and the broader sangha and what you would like to get from it.

It would be helpful if you could also include contact details for at least one member of the Order with whom you are in regular contact, who can act as a referee.

The cost will be in the region of £3000.

Applications, expressions of interest or requests for further information can be emailed to Saddhanandi at saddhanandi [at] adhisthana.org

Please contribute to Bhante’s 90th birthday present: the publication of his entire written work, much of which is out of print or unavailable, and all of which needs to be made available digitally – for everyone, for ever.

We need to raise £40,500 by 26th August!
