Jnanarakshita writes from Triratna’s Development Team with news of the first Triratna Design Competition, open to all members of the Triratna Buddhist Community. He says -

“We’re looking for fresh and dynamic images, ideas and slogans that our Buddhist centres and groups can use on websites, flyers, and posters: not too soft or new-agey, but attractive and meaningful to people who might be interested in triratna community and the dharma.

“You can enter as many times as you like. Ideas do not have to be original. The aim is to generate resources that Triratna centres and groups can draw upon. To give an idea of the kind of thing we’re looking for, we recommend listening to the talk by Vajragupta, and looking at the pdf samples here.

First prize will be one free place at the 2012 International Sangha Retreat, June 1-5 at Taraloka, UK. for the design(s) which the panel of judges consider most effective in attracting newcomers to triratna introductory events. There’s ten runners up prizes of Triratna 2012 calendars.
