Hi all.

I’m happy to say that softback print versions of the Dharma Training Course are now available to purchase online from Lulu. Thanks to Lokabandhu for doing loads of work on this!

A number of Dharma books used in the Triratna Buddhist Community are available as print-on-demand titles and eBook distribution on this Lulu page, including the DTCM books.

You can also find the individual years here:

Year One (including the Course Guide for Students)
Year Two
Year Three
Year Four

I hope they are of some use!

Metta,
Vajrashura.

Hello!  I have just received the Year One book from Lulu.com.  It is not a hardback copy though! It has a white glossy (soft) cover, A4 in size and is the 2016 edition. Do you think Lulu.com may have made a mistake?

Oops, sorry about that Glen!

It’s not a mistake, they are only in paperback this time. I’ll ammend the original post to reflect this. Apologies again for this, if you’d like your money back let me know and I can try to arrange this.

Hi!  Thanks for your reply.  It is not a problem; I was just curious!  I have not used Lulu.com before and they have done a grand job with the printing and the whole process, from ordering to delivery, took only one week which I think is impressive.  Best wishes and thanks again, Glen.

Great, thanks Glen. Glad you like it.

Metta,
Vajrashura.

Really great to see this news - so much better than printing out individual A4 pages.

By the way, I wasn’t aware of this news until I saw it in here - don’t know if the lulu url link could be circulated to mitra convenors to tell study group participants?  I think a lot of people will be pleased it exists.

Hi Vicki-b.

Thanks for the suggestion. I’ll ask the Mitra Convenors to let study group leaders know about this.

Ideally people would spot it on forums like this (or the similar one set up for people leading study) but not everyone is online.

Best of luck with the study!

Metta,
Vajrashura.

Hello, it is me again(!), I wrote about a year ago regarding the Year One study book from Lulu.com which was great.  I have just received the Year Two study book from Lulu.com and note that on Lulu.com’s website it states the (Year Two) study book was published on 21 April 2017.  The copy I have received states on the inside cover “this edition, 2016” so am wondering if there has been a mistake and if I have received the most recent edition?  I hope you don’t mind me writing to ask.  Best wishes and many thanks, Glen

Hi Glen. Sorry for the delay in replying, I’m in India right now! That’s completely fine to ask. The answer is that it should be the new edition, the best way is to see if the module names match with the names of the modules on the Mitra Study website for Year Two. If they do, then it’s definitely the same. If not, it’s the old course. I strongly suspect its the new course, and someone just forgot to change that detail. The online course is here: thebuddhistcentre.com/mitra The names of modules of the older version of the DTCM are different.

Hi Vajrashura,  Many thanks for taking the time and trouble to reply; especially as you are away in India!  As suggested, I have cross-referenced the module names with the Mitra Study website for Year Two and the book I have received, via Lulu.com, and am pleased (and relieved!) to report they are the same so I have therefore received the new edition.  No doubt I will be writing to you again next year to fuss about something in the Year Three Book!  I am really enjoying the DTCM and have found the hard-copies of the Books indispensable.  I am a bit of a cyber-dinosaur and much prefer to have everything in front of me, together in one place and make notes as I go along. (Lulu.com offer a great service too!). Thanks again for replying; it is truly appreciated and I hope you enjoy the rest of your travels. Best Wishes, Glen
