In this eight-part series, various speakers explore radical ways of training the mind, based on eight pithy and challenging verses from the Tibetan tradition. These active reflections offer a number of attitudes you can take up in order to overcome self-clinging.
In the final part of our series, Kusalasara explores the challenges we might face in bringing the inspiring principles of the Eight Verses into the daily activities of our life. What are the conditions that give rise to the profound resolve needed to keep going year after year in pursuit of freedom?
Talk given at the London Buddhist Centre, 2021.
Eighth verse
"May none of this ever be sullied
By thoughts of the eight worldly concerns.
May I see all things as illusions
And, without attachment, gain freedom from bondage."
