FutureDharma seeks new Fund Director
Could you be the next Director of Triratna’s major new fundraising project, FutureDharma?
The few next years will be crucial for Triratna - and arguably the whole world. Helping to meet that need, FutureDharma Fund aims to fund Triratna’s unity, depth of practice and breadth of reach to a suffering world.
We’re looking for a member of the Triratna Buddhist Order for the post of Director for this exciting, bold and important new initiative.
The post is broad in scope and will evolve as the Fund develops but your responsibilities would include
- holding the vision and setting the strategic direction for the Fund
- managing, guiding and supporting the FutureDharma team
- working closely with the Fund trustees
- co-ordinating the grant application and award process and
- preparing agendas and reports
For more details please see the attached job description.
The ideal new Director would have experience of working within Triratna, a broad range of connections within the Order and Movement, be self-reliant and self-directing and have good verbal and written communication skills.
The current FutureDharma Team consists of
- Amalavajra (Fundraising Director)
- Liz Basset (Communication and Supporter Care Manager), and
- Utpalavajri (part-time bookkeeper)
with some involvement of Nandavajra (from the ECA Development Team).
The FutureDharma team largely works and live at Adhisthana but working arrangements for the new Director are negotiable.
As defined in the present Development Team ethos, the level of financial support will be determined through discussion with Nandavajra and in consultation with the FutureDharma Fund Trustees.
If you’d like to apply, or discuss the job informally, please contact Nandavajra (nandavajra [at] triratnadevelopment.org / 07583 107258).
The attached application form should return to Nandavajra at the above email or post to 7 Beaumont Road, Newton Abbot, Devon TQ12 1BA, United Kingdom.
There is no closing date for the post and interviews will be arranged as required but we are looking to appoint the Director in early 2017.
