Are you curious about living a Dharma life in bustling London? Then why not come and live with us?
We, Sudurjaya, Gabi and Vimokshini, are looking for an order member or committed mitra to join our community Viryaloka on Lyal Road in East London from 1 August.
Even though we have all lived in community for years, we came together in this formation a year ago and have established a home where friendship and the dharma flourish. We all have busy lives but we do make time to meditate together in the mornings, enjoy good food, hang out in our garden, and go to the cinema.
A little bit about the house: It’s a beautiful 4-bed Victorian House with a garden in a quiet street off Roman Road (E3 5QG), about 15 minutes' walk from the LBC and a five-minute stroll to Victoria Park or Mile End Park. Our end of Roman Road has great new cafes, bakeries, wholefood shops, the famous Roman Road market and is turning into a bit of a Buddhist village. The nearest tube station is Mile End, which is about 10 minutes’ walk away.
The room is a huge basement room with a double bed and plenty of space for yoga or a home office. The house is owned by an Order Member and managed by the LBC.
So if you are interested in the possibility of joining our community, do email us and we’ll arrange a Zoom / phone meeting / in person meeting/coffee/tea. Cat mamas very welcome!
