Bristol Buddhist Centre looking for Women's Mitra Convenor

The Bristol Buddhist Centre is looking for a Women's Mitra Convenor.  At the last count, we have 46 active women mitras, 34 of whom have asked for ordination.  It's a lively and engaged women's sangha, with an increasing number of young women involved.

There are 20 Dharmacharinis in and around the Bristol Centre, 6 of whom are actively involved in a Women's Mitra Convening Kula.  You would work to and within that kula.  You would also be part of a supportive and effective Bristol Buddhist Centre Heart Kula, which is the name we now give to the Centre team.  The Heart Kula is chaired by our Centre chair Bhadra, and within that kula you would help plan and co-ordinate the many aspects of Centre life.

The hours are 28 per week and the rate of pay would be discussed with you.  There is a retreat allowance of GDP 1,500 p.a. and six weeks retreat/holiday time, both pro rata.  An optional contributory pension scheme is operated through the People's Pension.

We will offer initial support / mentoring if needed.  Please let us know if you would like the full job description.   Email wmc@bristol-buddhist-centre.org.   Or please feel free to contact us on the same email address if you would like to have an informal chat
