The idea is simple. We provide excellent, free materials on a great, down-to-earth Dharma theme all week long – you show up each day with your practice and connect with others in whatever way you can.

A reminder that our twice-daily open meditation sessions start tomorrow. They’ll run every week day until Buddhist Centres (and everywhere else!) re-open.

If you’re sitting with your own local sangha from home, please bear in mind your fellow Dharma farers all around the world. We’ll be thinking of you too. ☺️

The Brahma Viharas are sometimes known as the four immeasurables because the number of living beings to whom they apply is immeasurable and the benefits of practising them are immeasurable. 

The Brahma Viharas meditation consist of cultivating loving-kindness (Metta), compassion / solidarity (karuna), sympathetic joy (mudita) and equanimity (upeksha).

The 2019 Generation X Dharma Teachers’ Conference is currently underway at Great Vow Zen Monastery in Oregon, USA

This year those attending this biennial conference include three members of the Triratna Buddhist Order: Candradasa from Portsmouth, New Hampshire, USA; Vimalasara from Vancouver, Canada and Singhasri from London, UK. A variety of other Buddhist traditions in North America will also be represented. This is the fifth gathering of this kind, which has happened every two years since 2011.

Dear friends,

Bhante’s body is now at Adhisthana. He arrived yesterday afternoon (Thursday) and around 60 Order members, Mitras and friends from the Adhisthana mandala (the community, people here on meetings etc and local sangha) gathered to welcome him back. It was a beautiful afternoon with stunning light shining over Adhisthana and the hills beyond.
