Foundations

New Urgyen House exhibition

Go on pilgrimage to the 1960s and discover the origins of the Triratna Buddhist Community at our new exhibition ‘Foundations’, now open at Urgyen House!

The Urgyen Sangharakshita Trust are delighted to announce the opening of the new Urgyen House Exhibition, Foundations, exploring Sangharakshita’s seminal return to the UK and the events of 1964-1970. We’ve drawn deeply from our treasury of unique objects, stunning photos, and Sangharakshita’s diaries – much of which is on public display for the first time. It’s a window into an era of tremendous transformation and a guide through the crucial decisions that Sangharakshita made, which have shaped Triratna’s culture as far as the present day.

You can also visit the exhibition available online, for those not able to visit Adhisthana in person, or those wishing to dive more fully into its significance in their own time.

Access to both exhibitions is free, by donation. Please donate at least £5 to support our ongoing efforts to share Sangharakshita’s legacy with the world.
