We don’t know where the Dharma will be needed in the future.

Just a few years ago we couldn’t have predicted the current thirst for the Dharma in Latin America, or that a Triratna group would want to start in Trinidad or Tokyo. We need to be ready to respond to where the Dharma is needed.

“FutureDharma is a project that’s very responsive, spreading the Dharma where its needed at that time” - Santavajri, who’s left a legacy to FutureDharma

Would you like to work for the Future of the Dharma?

Thu, 2 Feb, 2023 - 17:48

Since our launch in 2016, FutureDharma Fund has grown to support 45 international Triratna projects, including those of the India Dhamma Trust, and raised over £1,200,000. This year we aim to raise £500,000 for this vital work.

We are now seeking an inspired and engaged Order member, or Mitra training for ordination to join our skilled, dynamic, and harmonious team as a Fundraiser.

We hope to make a full-time appointment but will consider part-time options.

This is a remote working role with a significant online communication component. However,...

The Death of, and rejoicing in Moksacitta

Wed, 4 Jan, 2023 - 11:04

Please see below message from Nandavajra, FutureDharma Fund director.

I am writing to let you know of the death of Moksacitta, on 29th December, our friend and colleague at FutureDharma. All of us in the team are deeply saddened and shocked by her swift illness and death; a mere three months ago she was participating in the team and carrying out her responsibilities with her customary good cheer and chirpiness. Moksacitta was 56 and was ordained into the Triratna Buddhist Order in...

Latin America Appeal- Double your Gift, Double your Impact!

Thu, 1 Dec, 2022 - 15:02

” There is unusually fertile ground for us here in Mexico, and Latin America. I believe we need to be investing hugely; money, resources, human beings etc.

We need to act fast brothers and sisters. Really fast. We’ve no time to waste. Otherwise this moment will just pass”

– Subhuti, at Toluca Buddhist Centre, May 2022

Latin America, like much of the developing world, is facing serious challenges. Environmental changes, persistent inequality, and increasing violence force millions of people throughout the region to live...

Triratna reaches Trinidad!

Tue, 15 Nov, 2022 - 14:15

Hugh Skinner, from Trinidad, is a permaculturist in his 90s and lives in a hermitage in the Trinidadian countryside. Hugh came across Subhuti’s Windhorse book, Buddhism for Today, and was fascinated by the idea of a new society. This inspired him to reach out to Subhuti and the two of them started speaking by phone. Subhuti also put Hugh in touch with an Order Member from India, Kumarjeev. Save for one group, there are currently no Buddhist activities in Trinidad,...

Big Changes to Funding Movement Projects in India

From Triratna News on Thu, 13 Jan, 2022 - 12:05

As you may have seen in the news, the past few weeks have seen major changes affecting the NGO sector in India. More than 150 large Indian charities, including at least one of our Triratna Trusts, have had their permission to receive foreign funding revoked by the Indian Government.

Most significantly, TBMSG Pune has had its foreign contributions permission removed. This is one of the main trusts supporting Triratna social projects in India. It employs 67 staff, mostly Mitras and...

Complete our quick and easy survey and let us know what you care about most in our Triratna...
