The 2014 International Retreat is about to kick off and you can take part online! The retreat starts tomorrow (23rd) and runs until Tuesday 27th at Adhisthana, our community’s new spiritual home.

Entitled “The Bodhisattva’s Reply,” it will explore the Dharmic perspective needed for truly altruistic activity, so that our creativity, willingness, and effort for social change can lead to more than just “doing good”.

Sangharakshita has said that Avalokiteshvara is a symbol for our Order — but also that our Order, in a mysterious way, is a symbol for the stream of spiritual influence and benefit which Avalokiteshvara represents. The retreat will explore Triratna’s reply to the suffering world, and the Dharmic foundations which need to underpin it.

During the retreat you can join in by visiting the 2014 International Retreat space. There (if the rural internet behaves itself!) you’ll find…

There are already some great previews from the team posted on the space - including several short videos from teachers introducing some of the topics they’ll be presenting, and a look at preparations for the event.

You can visit the 2014 International Retreat space any time to view the content. But if you’d like to comment on posts and receive email updates right away when we add something new, join the site and log in, then +follow along by clicking the orange box at the top left of the space!

You can also follow on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Google +, Pinterest, and Instagram.

We hope you’ll join us for this retreat!
