The winter 2017 chairs meeting comes to an end

We have come to the end of the winter 2017 European Chairs Assembly meeting at Adhisthana.  As I write the chairs are packing their bags and getting ready to go - and I am sure they will be taking their recharged energy, friendship and inspiration back out into the world!  It has been another rich, full week, ending last night with a concluding ritual in the shrine room where we recited the Transference and Merit verse in different languages. 'Leadership' - What Is It?

It’s day 3 at the ECA’s winter meeting at Adhisthana, and in today’s podcast Dassini is ‘having a wee chat’ with Arthavadin and Subhadassi; chairs of Manchester and Brighton Buddhist Centre respectively.

A bumper gathering of over 60 chairs of chairs of Triratna Buddhist Centres as well as representatives of some of Triratna’s main projects are meeting for an inspiring, enjoyable, at times challenging mix of practice, talks, discussion, and ritual, for the benefit of all beings!

The week-long summer 2015 meeting of the ECA has begun, and 40 or so Triratna Chairs - about 50:50 women and men - are gathered at Adhisthana for discussion, presentations and friendship.

Munisha talks to Viryapushpa, new Chair of Rivendell Retreat Centre, and Ratnaghosha, Chair of Cambridge Buddhist Centre, about the ECA and its meetings. Having first been a member of the ECA in 1994, Ratnaghosha describes how it’s developed over the years. (6.5 minutes)...
