Freedom From Polarization

In this talk Padmavajra is introduced to the Croydon Sangha by Amarapuspa. Padmavajra explores the idea of freedom from polarization in an inspiring, wide ranging and very deeply Dharmic talk. He starts by remembering positive aspects of Croydon in the 1980's and then takes us on a journey through the vimokshas, the sangharavastus and the pratisamvids as we explore "a taste of freedom". This talk was given at the Croydon Buddhist Centre in January 2019 as part of our regular Saturday morning Sangha class.

Life As a Wind Turbine.

In this talk, introduced by Amarapuspa, Jane shares the experience of developing severe physical pain, suddenly, and how this has affected her life. Jane discusses her habitual responses to pain before meeting Buddhism and how these responses changed when she discovered Buddhism. We explore how Jane needed a complete rethink after discovering the teaching of the worldly winds, and how inspiring this process has been.
