As part of our rejuvenation of the Croydon Buddhist Centre, we've been organising a number of work days where members of our sangha can come and help paint, clean, beautify and generally bring energy and metta to the building. Last work day we had great fun painting in the library, garden, fixing a leaky roof and stripping walls in the office. As we've a lot more that needs done, we're organising another work day on Sunday 14th October from 10.30am till 5pm. The day will involve getting to know each other, shared lunch and collective practice, oh and we'll be doing some painting and recycling and stuff. Everyone is welcome even if all you can contribute is to help keep everyone supplied with the essential tea and biscuits, a very worthy contribution. Sangha work days are a wonderful way to spend time building friendships as well as experiencing a personal contribution to the conditions for practice for everyone who visits our centre. If you'd like to get involved, let me know at the centre or just turn up on the day with energy and some veggie food to share for lunch. I look forward to seeing you there.
