On Sunday 1st December around 40 people gathered at the Croydon Buddhist Centre, to conduct a dedication ceremony for our new Team Based Right Livelihood charity shop Hidden Gems. Led by Sucimani and Amarapuspa, we meditated, reflected and rejoiced in those who helped make the project happen. Claudine from Lama’s Pyjamas did the honours of cutting the 3 jewel ribbons declaring the opening of the shop. We took part in a lovely dedication and blessings before having snacks and looking for early bargains. The shop is looking fantastic and is now trading, so please do pop in and say hello to the team. They are looking for good quality donations of clothing, bags, shoes, cds, dvds and jewellry. Also if you are a UK tax payer, please Gift Aid your donations as Hidden Gems can claim back 25% in tax from all sales made from donated goods.
