Generosity & Gratitude

What a week it's been. Things are moving fast with carpet tiles and lino arriving, sorting out the garden and finishing up flooring ready for the next stage. As the re-opening fast approaches, it is a real pleasure to pause and see how far we've come and to also express gratitude to those who have generously given their time and energy to help get our shrine room and reception ready. Vijayasri, Dhammasena and Malcolm, have been working so hard laying hardboard for flooring, potting large plants for the garden, adding fixtures and fittings as well as giving additional support and advice. In addition, Dharmasri has been working hard on organising the big day, from inviting guest speakers, inviting sangha members past and present, appealing for volunteers and co-ordinating the day.

We're now appealing for volunteer to help us to spruce up the centre for the big day as well as to help with supporting the day event itself. From spring cleaning, to cake making, meeting and greeting, to making tea, there are lots of ways in which the sangha can come together and be part of this special day. If you would like to help in some way in the leading up to the opening, please contact Carol at info@buddhistcentrecroydon.org

We'd also like to thank those who have so far donated £2194.34 (before Gift Aid) to our renewed appeal for additional funds.
