A Breath of Fresh Air

Spring is certainly in the air this week, the sunshine is filling up our new shrine room and reception space. The builders worked over the weekend to finish painting and the electricals and left only one worker on site Tuesday. Our contractors have gone on a much needed holiday. With the majority of the main work complete, cleaning up started and we turned out attention to getting the area tip top before we fit our new carpet tiles.

Vijayasri, Malcolm, Dhammasena and myself have been working hard getting additional painting done, stripping old broken tiles and even clearing the horrible waste ground behind our garden. Vijayasri ended up with about 10 bags of rubbish to go to the dump!! Malcolm has been working hard sanding down the old stairs ready for some new varnish. Hoping to get the carpet tiles ordered this week and start adding finishing touches. We're planning for our open day and re-dedication on Saturday 13th May. More details coming!

With the works nearing an end, we are still fundraising for the project for an estimated £25,000 to cover the extra structural works, legal expenses and replacements windows we hadn't anticipated replacing. If you would like to support us, please do consider making a donation via our link to Pay Pal Giving Fund, found here. So far our generous donors have donated £1675 (before Gift Aid)
