Dear Coogee Meditator

Padmadakini and I have been planning the Sydney Buddhist Centre’s Christmas / NY’s retreat which we will run together and supported by Samacitta.

Boxing Day - NY’s Day

You can see the flyer below.

As part of our planning meeting I recollected an allegory shared by The Buddha in which he likened finding our Buddha nature to a person finding an overgrown path in the jungle which he then follows to discover a beautiful but forgotten lost city.

This is the fascinating and rich journey available to each one of us: to trace the path back to our own true nature which is wild, free and totally suffused with joy!

That’s the focus of this retreat and it would be a our delight to have your company.

As part of this retreat we are going to restore an overgrown labyrinth at Vijayaloka and use it for our NYE ritual where we will reflect on 2016 and commit to our 2017 aspirations……

Summer Retreat: Tranquility Uncovered

Explore meditation, develop awareness and ignite the imagination.

A rare opportunity to uncover the innate depths of our mind together with like-minded people. Get in touch with what’s important this silly season, in close contact with the natural world at our beautiful bush retreat centre, away from the demands and information-overload of modern life.

As well as meditation teaching, learn about Buddhism and Buddhist ritual, and enter stillness with periods of silence. As this retreat is held over an especially reflective time of year, it offers a wonderful opportunity to look back over the previous year and to anticipate the next.
