On Thursday night this week we will hold a puja in place of the regular meditation

A puja is a devotional ritual during which we move through seven stages that include reverencing The Buddha, his teachings and all who aspire to live by his teachings, the traditional Buddhist refuges and precepts and mantras.

There are opportunities during the puja to offer candles and incense to the shrine as an expression of our gratitude and intention.

If you haven’t done one before I think you’ll find a puja and interesting and non-threatening way of bringing the body and mind to practice.

Ideally we would do this on the full moon which will be Sunday night so hopefully the power of the waxing moon will still be felt ……

Also just giving you notice of the next retreat we’ll hold that will be shared with The Sydney Buddhist Centre

August 11 - 13 and you can book on this link:

This will be a wonderful opportunity to deepen your meditation practice and relax in the beautiful and peaceful surrounds of our retreat centre on the banks of the Georges River
