I love this quote! It’s really helped me over the last couple of days when I’ve felt overwhelmed by a daunting pile of responsibilities and challenges.


There’s a lot to be said for holding true to the course you’ve set for yourself when that course has evolved out of deep, personal aspiration. And that’s not to say we can’t alter our course, even dramatically, but for my money our capacity to stay true to our aims is crucial for really setting ourselves free.


In doing what Jamyang Khyentse Rimpoche is counselling us we are setting up a potent new habit that will support us beautifully. 


I’m pretty sure he is talking inclusively about our meditation practice as to work directly on the mind, which meditation does, is perhaps the very best habit we can cultivate
