Did you ever watch ‘Monkey’ when you were much younger than you are now?

I did ….

I loved it and particularly hung out for the Buddhist words of wisdom they would put at the end of each program ….

Here’s a clip I just took from Facebook …. Just a good laugh really

Monkey meets the Buddha

But seriously …… Here’s a few Buddhist thoughts from my morning reading today that I hope might inspire you. I’ve put them into my own words …

These are things ‘Virtuous Worldlings’ will do if they are to make tremendous spiritual progress in this lifetime …..

  1. Associate with wise and virtuous spiritual guides / friends
  2. Listen to the Buddha’s teachings
  3. Attend carefully to our tendency to give in to our cravings and aversions
  4. Train ourselves in ethical behaviour and meditation
So if you’re serious about training your own mind to meet life with poise and equanimity come and join us to meditate
