Transform self and world this BAM with KarunaOn Wed, 4 April, 2018 - 15:47
For this year’s Buddhist Action Month, I’m looking for volunteers to join me for our telephone appeal, based in the Karuna office in North London.
Karuna Appeals give us an opportunity to connect with others and ourselves, all while giving something back to the world. Using metta, sensitivity and awareness, we will work together to transform fear and resistance, exploring how we can remain open when faced with difference.
Our campaigns are perfect conditions to practice engaged Buddhism, a chance to take your practice deeper, give of yourself and make a life-changing difference to others.
Karuna works to end caste-based discrimination, poverty and inequality in India and Nepal. By providing tools, skills and support to grassroots organisations, we can create community champions and build local networks. These networks then spread, benefiting even more people and sustaining the cycle of transformation.
For over 35 years, this work has only been possible because people like you give your time and energy to help us fundraise. With your help we can reach 60,000 people each year and change lives.
Apply now and make change happen!
