At last night's vigil in support of refugees, representatives of Seacoast faith communities (Jewish, UCC, Quaker, Buddhist) personally thanked Senator Shaheen for her opposition to the House bill which calls for halting admission to Syrian and Iraqi refugees. Sen Shaheen wasn't there, but her staff member welcomed us warmly and posed for a photo.
There were about 20 people present at the Dover vigil. Other vigils took place in Nashua and Manchester.
