We are planning to create a cookbook called something like “The Aryaloka Buddhist Center Cookbook.” What we hope to do is to publish a collection of everyone’s favorite recipes plus essays about mindful eating, making healthy vegetarian/vegan dishes, etc. We hope to be able to create a quality product that will be low enough in cost to be a fundraiser, as well as something that could find a larger market in area bookstores (and beyond, maybe).

We need people with expertise in areas that could help us produce this-expertise in computer layout, marketing, book publishing, printing, writing, artwork, photography, copyright law, food preparation, illustration, etc. Once we get the nuts and bolts of the production settled we will start asking everyone in the Sangha for their favorite, go-to, healthy vegetarian/vegan recipes.

Our meeting time for this stage will be the 4th Tuesday of the month, at about 5:30 at Aryaloka. The first meeting will be on February 23 at that time. Even if you have no experience in any of the above areas we still would welcome you-once we have figured things out I am sure there will be something for everyone interested to do.

If you would like further information please contact Eric and Sue Ebbeson or Khemivassika, or email the office info [at] aryaloka.org.
