Triratna Earth Sangha
- a recently formed group of Order members, mitras and friends from across the world who are deeply concerned about the environmental plight of the Earth and all the attendant suffering this is already causing and will cause in the future - invites both Buddhist centres and individual practitioners to follow the lead of the Glasgow sangha by sitting in meditation in a public space at 3pm UK time (or your own time, as appropriate) on Saturday 5th June. This is European Action Day, but Buddhists from all over the world are, of course, warmly invited to participate as well.

This year’s theme for BAM is the Lion’s Roar: Speaking up in a Troubled World. Buddhists across Europe are invited to practice together in their shared aspiration to reduce suffering in the world. You can if you wish select a particular cause or issue that is close to your heart. Practising in public can act as a signpost for your particular cause and for a peaceful and grounded way of being. If you would rather not practise in public but would like to join in with others, we hope to set up a Zoom space for people to meditate together. We’ll let you know nearer the time.
