Dear friends and supporters of the India Dhamma Trust

It gives me great pleasure to introduce myself as the Trust’s new Fundraising Coordinator.
I am taking over from Carunalaka, who has done sterling work in the promotion of the Trust, ensuring the level of support it currently enjoys. Hers are big shoes to fill!

I was ordained in 1989 and Since my ordination in 1989, most of my time has been spent as teacher, Mitra Convenor and Chair of the Croydon Buddhist Centre in the UK. I also spent some time in Mexico in 1999/2000.

I am delighted now to be able to support the growth of Buddhism in India  by doing what I can to raise the funds that enable us to cater effectively to the enormous appetite for the Dhamma in the land of its birth. It will be hugely satisfying to know that whatever I can achieve in this role will have a massive effect in helping our Indian brothers and sisters fulfil their aspirations and transform their lives.
The India Dhamma Trust supports effective fundraisers in India who express their faith and confidence by helping the Indian wing of Triratna towards self-sufficiency. At the same time, the need in India is great, and the Western wing of Triratna is well placed to assist in its being met. We are one international community, and to support our Indian wing is also to enrich our own.

I look forward to soon communicating with as many Dharmacharis,  Dharmacharinis and mitras as I am able, sharing the opportunity to participate in this great work. I am particularly keen to cultivate the seeds already sown of having enthusiasts for the Trust’s work in every Triratna centre and group. I hope that we will be able to share our love for the Dhamma by developing the links between us, participating in events together, and even travelling together to meet our  Indian fellow Dhamma farers in person.
I look forward to speaking with you about these exciting possibilities in the coming weeks and months.

with love
Dhammavijaya
