Firstly I’m greatly impressed with the BAM postings thus far from other Centres and Groups-well done and best wishes for June and far, far beyond.

We’ve got a dedicated BAM Ipswich Facebook page, so do have a look. Plenty on environmental intiatives and commitments, and other apsects.

At our BAM-themed Sangha evening on Thursday 16th we will be launching a new care project, with a limited company and associated domain names. I hope it will be a modest start leading towards Buddhist values being more and more prominent in the ever expanding long-term care field. Please feel free to keep in touch on this!

Hi Dayasara

Really interested to hear that you are launching a care project in Ipswich. Sadhu! I’d love to find out more about this from you as I am interested long term in getting involved in setting up a Buddhist care project in Bristol. Can you let me know how best to contact you? Sarah

Dear Sarah- my apologies that I lost track of some postings last year and have only found your enquiry recently (about 10 months late!). Our company Mindful Carers Ltd is not trading as yet. My main interest is in care and support of older people and I think a care home run on Buddhist principles could be an excellent right livelihood. However problems with funding arrangements make it difficult for anyone to start up a social care business. Anyway, I’m seeking more advice on this and hope to push things along even if at 63 years of age I might need to look to some younger people to get involved and take a lead.

Feel free to email me on dayasara2012 [at] gmail.com or phone/text on 07748-375923.

Thanks and Metta-Dayasara
