Engaging in 'Volunteer Action for Peace' at Taraloka 20th-3rd JulyOn Sun, 31 May, 2015 - 10:42
This year Taraloka is running a two-week project with the organisation ‘Volunteer Action for Peace’ or VAP. VAP is a UK-based charity promoting international peace by bringing together people from all over the world to work with partner organisations such as Taraloka. We will have 11 women coming to the project from a variety of different countries including Estonia, Germany, Spain and Italy. We will be working and living together as a community for the two weeks and our volunteers will be helping us with decorating, recycling, landscaping work as well as cooking tasty, nutritious vegan food for the community. We will also be meditating together and there will be the opportunity for the volunteers to learn a bit about Buddhism.
