Coming up this Saturday! A wonderful opportunity to explore your dreams in the context of the Tibetan Doctrine of Dream. This Workshop is being offered by Viriyagita and is part of our Practice Days for Women. Saturday, October 20, from 9 - 1 pm. Offered by donation, $20 - $30 suggested.

“The whole purpose of the Doctrine of Dream is to stimulate the yogin to arise from the Sleep of Delusion, from the Nightmare of Existence, to break the shackles in which maya thus has held him prisoner throughout the aeons, and so attain spiritual peace and joy of Freedom, even as did the Fully Awakened One, Gautama the Buddha.” Tibetan Yoga and Secret Doctrines.

In this dream workshop for women we will look at the value of working with our dreams. We will be exploring methods of recall, interpretation, awareness or lucidity in the dream state, and as a bardo the potential for Enlightenment. Bring to this workshop two dreams; one of which is fairly clear and another of recent origin that is less well-defined so we can practice drawing it out. Join us for this opportunity to practice with the women’s sangha and to explore the fascinating world of dreams!

Led by Viriyagita whose name means: “she whose song is energy in the pursuit of the Good”. She loves her name as it captures her aspiration to have her whole life be a beautiful song of spiritual energy inspiring others to the path of the Dharma. She originally became involved with Aryaloka in 1986 and was ordained in 1995. After a little over a year she left the Order to pursue another spiritual path but returned and was ordained once more in 2007.
